2007-2008 Giving Opportunities
The JMU Nursing program needs your help! As we continue to expand the newly-minted MSN program and the completely reinvented BSN program, as well as pursue other new nursing educational endeavors, it becomes ever more crucial to remain up-to-date and current with our teaching methods and resources. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us to purchase or develop these resources:
- Stipends for student nurse expenses such as uniforms, stethoscopes, fees for mandatory conventions and conferences, research project materials
- Scholarships for deserving students who otherwise cannot afford to pursue a nursing degree or return to school for graduate education
- New or replacement simulation equipment and supplies, particularly as we “grow” our SimFamily
- Updated videotapes, CDs, multimedia self-paced learning modules
- Funds to support faculty development, attendance at out of area conferences and workshops
- Funding for an endowed chair in nursing
