The JMU Nursing faculty is committed to nursing education that is rooted in a strong liberal arts and science foundation and that meets professional standards for nursing education and practice. The faculty seeks to prepare professional nurses who are capable of independent and collaborative problem-solving, decision-making, and the delivery and coordination of care to meet a wide range of client health care needs in a changing health care delivery system and a diverse society.

Announcing: NEW! Family Nurse Practitioner Program. The Family Nurse Practitioner program focuses on care given to the family unit, as well as individuals within the family unit. Family theory, assessment and management are emphasized.
Announcing: New Online Post Masters Nurse Educator Program... The Post-Master’s certificate in Nurse Education will be available online and will require only 2 days per semester on campus. The 20 credit program can be completed in 3 semesters of part-time study. For more information call 540-568-6314.
