Purpose:
NROC is
the outreach and research arm of the James
Madison University Nursing Department. NROC serves a coordinating
function for initiatives and collaborative relationships between the
nursing department and other internal and external individuals, groups,
and agencies. NROC provides a mechanism for nursing faculty individually
and collectively to fulfill the department mission of influencing the
quality of nursing and health care delivery in our region and to facilitate
the fullfillment of the department mission in teaching, research, service
and faculty practice. While an arm of the nursing department NROC is
designed to promote broad-based, interdisciplinary, collaborative initiatives.
Mission:
To improve the health care system in our region through
research and outreach partnerships.
Organization:
NROC is organized in four major outreach areas: partnership
programs, research and grants, Holistic Health Resource Center, and
