The Shenandoah Vally Migrant Education Program is a federal
Title 1 program which provides year-round advocacy and supplemental
instructional services for preschool and school-aged eligible students,
as well as young adults under the age of twenty-two. The program targets
students who are most at risk due to high mobility and/or limited
proficiency in English. Its objectives include assisting with school
registration, student mentoring and tutoring, providing training for
classroom teachers and administrators, encouraging parent involvement,
and sponsoring interagency councils. |
