BYLAWS COMMITTEE
Reviews, amends, and updates the Honor Society bylaws. Creates guidelines for interpretation of the bylaws when needed to guide the management of the honor society's activities.
MEMBERSHIP INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
Seeks new members, promotes membership involvement and renewals, and coordinates new member orientation activities.
ELIGIBILITY COMMITTEE
Distributes membership applications, accepts and reviews applications for membership, and recommends those eligible for membership to the Board of Directors and to the membership.
PUBLICITY/ NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE
Coordinates publicity for the honor society and its events. Publishes 4 newsletters annually and manages the Honor Society archives, including a scrapbook and a visual display.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
Prepares and updates an annual budget, develops an on-going financial plan, and monitors income and expense transactions.
DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Plans and implements fund-raising activities in which all members of the Honor Society can participate.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE
Plans and coordinates Honor Society programs, which include the Fall membership induction ceremony, the Fall program, and the Spring Annual Scholarship symposium.
SERVICE PROJECT COMMITTEE
Plans two community service projects per year in which all members of the Honor Society can participate.
AWARDS COMMITTEE
Recommends to the Board members whose outstanding contributions to nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and the Pi Mu Chapter-at-Large qualify them for special recognition.
